Prowlers dish up classy volleyball in Marburg

Local volleyball clubs produced some scintillating volleyball.

A NUMBER of volleyball teams did battle and provided excitement with their special brand of volleyball at the second social tournament at the Marburg Sports Complex last Saturday. The teams gave an excellent account of themselves, which augurs well for the future of volleyball on the South Coast.

Several junior boys and women’s teams took to the courts, battling valiantly to outwit their opponents.

The popular social tournament drew a huge crowd, as some of the legends of yesteryear made a return to the sport.

Many clubs were in a destructive mood and totally outplayed their inexperienced opponents, recording straight set victories. In the women’s section, Prowlers beat New Covenant Ladies.

In the non-competitive section, New Covenant City players beat Assasins and in the competitive section, City Boyz beat New Covenant City players.
