SHANE Nienaber and Ellen Cawker are congratulated on reaching the finals of the KBA men’s and women’s masters.
The winners of the Uvongo Spar Open 2-4-2 held on Friday were Ian Hutton and Trixi Smith. Alan and Alison Dinning were runners-up and the session went to Franci Philpott and Shane Nienaber. The 50/50 board was won by Yvonne Bausek.
The next sponsored competition will be the Halfway Toyota men’s 2-4-2 to be held on Friday morning, October 7. Contact Gerry Davey or enter your name on the entry list.
The Friday night attendance draw was won by Franci Philpott and the tabs draw was won by Jean Bouverie.

Members are reminded to diarise the ‘Toys for Joy’ evening to be held on Saturday, November 19.
There will be a bring and braai this Sunday, (October 9) to be combined with the Nomad bowlers. Tabs in by 8.30 for 9am. Wimpy breakfast is available at R30 for those wishing to order. Bring a salad to share.

MUNSTER
TRISH Houbert’s number came out tops in the monthly 30 Club draw. Lady luck also shone brightly for Lindsey Humphrey, Helen Cock and Sergio Ruperto.
On Friday, October 14 the club will host a quiz evening. The social evening gets under way at 5 for 5.30pm and costs R45 per person and includes eats. To assist with catering, members are requested to book in advance. Contact Margaret at 039 3135615 or 084 7459829.
NOMADS
MEMBERS are reminded there will be an outing at Margate BC this Sunday, October 9 at 8.30am for 9am.

PORT SHEPSTONE
A NUMBER of club members have been chosen for the KBA Interdistrict tournament.
They are: open side women – Pat Maggs; B side women – Gill Thiele; open side men – Eddie Fann, Roy Anderson and Kevin Lancaster; men’s president side – Peter Maggs.
With six players from the club selected this is absolutely awesome.
On Friday in celebration of the club’s 101st birthday the bowls section had a fun afternoon and the theme was ‘hippie’.
The best ‘hippie’ was none other than our own president, Len Rossler. The runner-up was Gill Thiele.
The winning team was Phil Myburgh, Bernie Sinclair and Alan Booth. Runners-up were Eddie Fann, Caroline Harris, and Woody Woods.
Session prize was won by Keith Mills, Justin Hinchliff and Kathy Simpson. This Sunday it will be the Harbour View SuperSpar trips.
RIVERSIDE
WELL done to Pauline and Graham Dunlop, winners of the Food Lovers’ Market 2-4-2, followed by Trevor Hayward and Phillip Audibert.

SOUTHBROOM
AT the AGM held on Friday, September 23, Graham Fisher was elected as president, Janet Larkins as secretary, Chris Faber as development officer, Elize Bester and Wynand Bezuidenhout as committee members. The remaining committee remains the same.
Winners of the Wolf Security open trips were Anjie Gold, Olwen Gibbs and Chrissie Chancellor.
Runners-up were Aubrey Hood, Steve Rennie and Joe Ashworth.
First session winners were Neels Boshoff, Sergio Ruperto and Peter Munday.
Second session winners were Ina Malan, Carl Volker and Chris Alan. 50/50 was won by Deks Zunker.
Southbroom greens will be closed for annual maintenance until early November.
SOUTHPORT
THE South Coast Herald mixed 2-4-2 was won by Peet van Rooyen and Susan Fourie from Werner Mody and Ellen Gould. Second session prize went to Alan Wallace and Barbs Sates.
The Dr Darryl D’Arcy men’s trips was won by Peet van Rooyen, Geoff Barbour and Kevin Mullen. Runners-up were Dennis Graham, Eric Grierson and John Meyer with second session prize going to Keith Mills, Richard Cochman and Peter Anderson.
The Harbour View SuperSpar mixed trips was won by Maureen and Taubie Jonker and Pauline Howle with Keith Mills, Sharon Bischoff and Teresa Barron runners-up.
The Fruit and Veg 2-4-2 mixed pairs was won by Don Russouw and Shirley de Bruin from Tom Semple and Alan Wallace followed by Brian Marriot and Jane Massam.
Second session prize went to Nellis Hattingh and Jan Scholtz.
THE BELL
THE winners of the Orca’s mixed trips played last Friday were Brian Sapsford, Tammy Gibbons and Annemarie Giblin. Runners-up were Hew Hodgson, Renzo van Niekerk and Daphne Hounsel. Second session prize went to Susan Fourie, Kevin Mullen and Peet van Rooyen.
Congratulations to all our master bowlers who played last weekend. Maureen Muller will be playing in the final which was rained out on Sunday and Barry Delvin would have been playing for third or fourth place if rain had not stopped play. Well done guys.
A huge ‘well done’ to The Bell which achieved club of the year once again this season.
UMTENTWENI
DAPHNE Sapsford and Mada Lindeque won the Wimpy women’s pairs from Tammy Gibbons and Pat Maggs and the session prize went to Susan Fourie and Charmaine van Deventer.
Tony Johnson, Peter Browning, Derick Celliers and Trevor Mann won the 3rd Avenue fours from Bez Bezuidenhout, Danie and Annetjie Human and Bubbles Bezuidenhout.
Session prize went to Peet van Rooyen, Susan Fourie and Desiree and Barry Krause.
Well done to all who played in the KBA novice singles, especially Susan Delpeche who reached the semi-finals and Peter Giblin who made the quarter-finals.
Dumisani Madlala won three of his five games against some of the ‘big guns’ and was chosen for the district B side in the recent KBA trials.
VILLAGE
HOPDENS Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2 was won by Alan Tyers and Denise Palframan, with Graham and Anjie Gold runners-up.
Session prizes went to Hermann and Sharon Scheinberg as well as Rosemary Esterhuysen and Hein Bester.
A visitor from England won the 50/50 draw, after drawing out her own number!
Food Lovers’ Market in-house competition was won by Ken Hills, Irene Holland and Ken Habben, Doug Kent, Winston van Greune and Johan van Niekerk were runners-up.
A braai and the RAC monthly draw will take place this Friday, October 7 and the club’s next sponsored competition will be Hibiscus Insurance Brokers’ mixed trips on Thursday, October 13.
