WITH tennis having been washed out during the week, thanks to the arrival of welcome spring rains, the break in the wet weather on Saturday brought enough players for six courts to play. Members were joined by visitors, Guy and Lucy Lund and Helgard du Preez. Dan Dimitriu’s samoosas and usual Black Forest cake were enjoyed by all.
Tennis was accompanied by the screeching of a pair of yellow billed kites but the noise didn’t seem to worry a hadeda which has started building a nest next to court one.
When the rain came down later in the afternoon again, everyone enjoyed a time of socialising in the clubhouse.
