Calling bikers and trail runners
This will be the fifth and final leg of the series.
MOUNTAIN biking and trail running enthusiasts can look forward to another challenge, namely the Wild Coast Sun Mountain Bike and Trail Run Challenge.
It is set to take place on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 as part of the inaugural South Coast MTB Series.
This will be the fifth and final leg of the series and comprises various route distances to accommodate riders and runners of varying fitness levels.
The Wild Coast Sun will also host the awards ceremony for the winners of the South Coast MTB Series on the Saturday night.
R5 000 will be presented to the overall male and female champions, together with medals and cash prizes for the first place positions according to CSA age categories.
In the mountain biking challenge the following day, there are three distances for competitors to choose from; a 45km, 25km and 10km. For trail runners, there are three distances to choose from; a 20km, 10km and 5km.
All race participants receive free entry to the Wild Waves Water Park for the day.
They can also stand a chance of winning a new mountain bike valued at R6 500 in the lucky draw.
First 200 pre-entries receive a free T-shirt so book early at www.roag.co.za.
Pre-entries close on Wednesday, October 26.
Registration will be open from 6.30am each morning at the Wild Waves Waterpark.
