Port Edward bass compo coming up soon
Enter now for what promises to be a great competition.
THE Port Edward Bass Classic, which in the future will be known as the South Coast Bass Classic, will take place on November 25 and 26.
The briefing will be held at Kinderstand in Glenmore on November 25 at 6pm.
Accommodation is available at R120 per person including bedding. Food will be for sale on Friday and Saturday night.
A very big thank you to the sponsors, without them the competition could not take place.
Prizes include a Legend Kayak to the value of R10 000, a Junior Legend Kayak worth R8 000 and a Feral Inflatable Kickboat valued at R5200, plus a Pisces Predator Kickboat at R4500, as well as holiday accommodation at Port Edward Holiday Resort.
There will also be many more prizes and lucky draws. Entry fees are R150 per person, R100 for U12.

In general, fishing on the coast has dropped considerably over the past few days.
There were, however, some catches of note at Splash Rock, including garrick, bronze bream, kob and some big blacktail.
A few kingfish have been caught on smaller artificial lures in the shallows.
The smaller GTs and blacktip kingies seem to prefer the smaller these. Early mornings are best for spinning.
Plenty of shad are around but remember the shad season is closed for now.
Those targeting bronze bream are having lots of fun, with some impressive catches on mud prawn and red prawn.
From St Michaels right through to Manaba there have been some decent catches of bronze bream and kob in the evenings.
Anglers fishing the shores in Port Shepstone are having a good time targeting garrick and kob.
Those targeting the bronze bream off rocky ledges had the most success with red prawn in foamy, white water.
Those wanting to target kob were getting the best results in the Port Shepstone area.
Most of these fine specimens were taken in the late afternoon going on into the night.
Spinner has been out to sea and deep sea anglers haven’t had much success due to the strong under currents.
A couple of amberjacks were caught plus a few bottom fish.
Bass fishing has been doing well despite the level of water being so low in most of our dams.
Recent rains will help to a certain extent, however a lot more rain will be needed to fill the dams.
