Ron and Luise play up a storm at Southbroom TC

SOUTHBROOM Tennis Club held its spring competition, the first of the year, last week Sunday.

It was a day of all seasons – sunny, blustery and overcast – but the event was well-attended.

The competition is a very fair format, and gives everyone a chance to play one another.

Stars of this year’s event were Luise Mohr, the chairman of the club, who won women’s division, and the runner-up was Pippa Bromley-Gans.

In the men’s division, the winner was Ron Stirling, the club captain, and Brandon Saunders was second.

After the event, tea was served – and champagne flowed.
