MARGATE BC
WINNERS of the Manaba Spar women’s 2-4-2 were Kobie Stander and Winnie Hess.
Runners-up were Sharon Scheinberg and Leza Edwards.
Session went to Marianne van Buuren and Leoni Booth; 50/50 board winner was Kobie Stander.
The next men’s 2-4-2 sponsored competition will be the Halfway Toyota day on Friday, November 4 at 9am.
The Friday night attendance draw was won by Oscar Pienaar (absent). The tab draw was won by Bob Smith.
Please diarise the ‘Toys for Joy’ evening to be held on Saturday, November 19.
The annual 36-team Doug Watson Memorial Classic will be held on November 5 and 6.
There are still a few slots available. Some matches will be played at Riverside.

MARGATE CC
CONGRATS to all the winners who played in the Food Lover’s Market competition on Wednesday, which was enjoyed by all the bowlers.
Well done to Barry Delvin, Peet van Rooyen, Jimmy Holtshausen and Charles Murgatroyd, who won the men’s fours sponsored by Engel and Volkers.
Second prize went to Steve Rennie, Aubrey Hood, Glen Allen and John Keppler.
Third went to Shane Nienaber, Dieter Scholz, Ian Hutton and Ross Ferguson.
November 18th will be the last game of the ladder and the three top teams are the teams of Shane Nienaber, Barry Delvin and Rod Phelps.
MUNSTER
THE green will be open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, everyone is welcome to join.
The Indulgence mixed pairs will be held this Wednesday, November 2. Tea duty – Riddell Weir and Leone Bloem.
The 30 Club Draw will be held next Saturday, November 5. Bring and braai, salad to share as usual.
Final 30 Club draw, dinner dance will be held on Wednesday, November 23 for all 30 Club members and their partners.
A reminder to all members that 2017 subs are now due. Thanks to those who have already paid.
PORT EDWARD
GREAT news, the green is doing so well that it will be opening a week earlier than planned.
The exact date will be confirmed asap.
Hope to see you all this Friday for the sundowner at 4.30pm and to attempt to claim the gold plot on ‘Ranch Drawde Trop’.
Looking forward to the ‘Wild West Cowboy’ event November 18, with a unique menu, and to experience fun like never before.

PORT SHEPSTONE
MANY months of hard work, and time and money spent, have resulted in the club producing one of the best greens around.
Last Friday was the unofficial launch of the new A green; it was a sunny day and there was a good turnout.
Thank you to Peter Maggs of Renasa Insurance for his generous sponsorship and free drinks provided, as well as to Eddie Fann for the preparation of the green, and Murray Ross and Brian Rawlins for the organising of this monthly event.
October’s winners were the Birdie Boys, namely Phil Myburgh, Dave Mee, Barbara Henderson and Julie Ross.
Runners-up were the Anglers, namely Howard Frizelle, Murray and Craig Ross and Richard Hudson.
Next one is on November 18.
RIVERSIDE
CHUMMY Smith, Sheelah Nel and Colin Eltis were the winners of the recent Chicken and Egg afternoon.
They were followed by Heather Flyng, Ray Visser and Marilyn Francis.
Winners of the Hopdens Spar open pairs were Madge Nicolson and Sharon Smith, followed by Harry Nicolson and Marilyn Francis.
Sessions went to Trevor Hayward and Ray Visser, Vi Eltis and Stephan Herberg.

SOUTHPORT
RYNIER van Tonder won the cellphone donated by MTN.
Thanks to John Hové for the donation of the pool pump and to Bob Moroney and Alan Wallace for building the braai and commissioning the water tank.
Members look forward to further rains to fill the tank and to nourish the green while it revels in the much earned respite.
THE BELL
THE winners of the Fruit and Veg City mixed 2-4-2 were Rynier van Tonder and Susan van Rooyen.
Runners-up were Hew Hodgson and Mada Lindeque. The second session prize went to Luke Pohl and Johannie Theron.
The next sponsored competition will be the mixed trips sponsored by Orca’s to be played on Friday 28th.
Please note that the Captain’s Anchor mixed fours has been moved to November 4 due to sevens league commitments.
VILLAGE
NEELS Boshoff and Hein Bester won the Martin’s Electronics mixed 2-4-2 from Geoff Oliver and Keith Roach.
Session prizes went to Rennie Geyer and Ron Canning together with Carl Volker and Derek Schorn. Mike Pretorious won the 50/50.
The RAC monthly draw and braai will take place on Friday, November 4.
Next competitions are Hibiscus Insurance Brokers mixed trips on November 13 and Hopdens Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2 on November 22.
Please remember the club has only one green at present, so phone Hazel as soon as possible if you would like to play.
