WITH the recent heavy rains, all Saturday league games on December 10 were cancelled.
As a result of the point-sharing rule, Banners Rest KBA Saturday men’s fours team ended top of their league.
The club championship entry forms are posted on the notice board.
HIBBERDENE
THE Hibberdene Pharmacy sponsored drawn mixed trips was won by Jan Oosthuizen, Estelle Quinn and Pauline Howle.
Second were Eddie Milne, John Hoyer and Judy Hover. Session prize was won by Roger Burwood, Paul Grutter and Joey Venter.
The Suzuki nominated mixed trips is tomorrow (16th).
Heavy rain cancelled last Saturday’s final league games. Unfortunately two games had to be completed in the women’s two-bowl trips.
The players were drenched after playing 13 ends which constitutes a game.
MUNSTER
WINNERS of the Golden Moon Spur sponsored tabs were Barry Fowler and Beryl Laurent. Lucky number went to Lesley Lawson.
Indulgence mixed pairs winners were Steve and Jenny Rennie.
Runners-up were Arthur Ronaldson and Leone Bloem. Second session to Martiens and Rita Zietsman. Board to Rita Zietsman.
Saturday’s 30 Club draw winners were Joey Anderson (1st), Rory Lawson (2nd), Willie Smith (3rd) and Linsey Humphries (4th).

PORT EDWARD
ROB Lyle, Mike Gower and Derek Wicks won the Realty Port Edward open trips last week. Runners-up were Gino Alilovic, Dice Graaff and Myra Doubell.
Session went to Elbé and George Snyman and Lesley Ott. Board winner was Derek Wicks.
Indulgence Beauty Salon mixed trips winners were Leigh Warner, Dave Hume and Jeanette Offer. Runners-up were Joe Ashworth, Frank Foley and Yvonne Fillis.
Session went to Jimmy McAllister, Jay Russell and Ann McAllister. Board winner was Jay Russell.
PORT SHEPSTONE
THE women’s team was able to play one game last Saturday morning, the other being rained out. Congrats to the A side who came second.
For the rest it has been a learning curve which will stand them in good stead no doubt.
As far as the men were concerned all matches were washed out. Now it’s time for the Christmas break.

THE BELL
WELL done to the women’s A league side on winning their section, gaining promotion to the first division.
The B side came fourth in their section securing a place in the first division.
Winners of the Jaxx/Venture Inn/Sayidi open trips competition were Hew Hodgeson, Renzo van Niekerk and Phil Viljoen.
Runners-up were Bez Bezuidenhout, Wayne van Nikkelen-Kuyper and Bruce Hoyer.
Winners of the Orca mixed trips were Leon Sander with Desiree Krause and sponsor Ricky Robertson.
Runners-up were Tony Aveyard with Geoff and Tina Barbour.
VILLAGE
KEN Hills, Ali Mitchell and Winston van Greune won the Hibiscus Retirement Villages men’s trips.
Counted out were Steve Rennie, Aubrey Hood and John Keppler, as well as Barry Christie, Norman Isherwood and Derrick Shell, who went on to win a session together with Dave Aitken, Roy Baker and Oscar Pienaar.
Rennie Geyer won the 50/50.
Winners of the Hibiscus Insurance Brokers mixed trips were Alan Tyers, Ken Hills and Denise Palframan followed by Billy Eccles, Cindy Cano and Jo Olivier.
Sessions went to Betty Bolton, Ali Mitchell and Doug Kent and to Reg Sanders, Hugh Holland and Dawn Ingle. Ina Malan won the 50/50.
The rained out Food Lover’s Market tabs in mixed trips will be played this Saturday (17th).
