THE past year has been extremely successful for the WKF Ugu karate region. Students won medals in four tournaments, namely the Karate KwaZulu-Natal elite trials, KSA championships, KKZ-Natal development trials and Karate South Africa development championships.

Organising two WKF Ugu karate region tournaments for all affiliated dojos and competing at the SALGA DSR 2016 Games, in conjunction with the full-contact Ugu team, they won the only gold medal for the Ugu district at the SALGA games.

Next year is definitely going to be another very successful karate year for these successful shihans and senseis.

WKF Ugu karate region wishes everyone a blessed Christmas and a prosperous 2017.
