DESPITE the terrific heat last Saturday, there was a wonderful turnout at Umtentweni Tennis Club with enough players to fill six courts.
Members were joined by Chris and Jenny Connellan who are back in South Africa for a while and it was great to have them on our courts again after such a long time.
Another visitor from overseas, Sally (we didn’t get her surname), was most welcome with her strong shots.
Past member, Liesl Smith, graced the courts after a long stay away and husband, Des, was a welcome spectator.
Mary Wood helped stave off the heat with delicious segments of orange and watermelon as well as providing super egg sarmies and biscuits for energy.
Remember the AGM on February 4 at 5.30pm.
