Rain washes out play but at least the farmers are smiling
The autumn rain has been welcome.
GOLF was rained out at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday, but the weather was fine for a midweek game.
The women’s alliance was won on 91 points by Michelle Davies, Barbara Cannon, Shelley Myers and Augi D’Ewes.
Runners-up on 88 points were Janet Humphrey, Gjertrud Kok, Eileen Neilson and Di Morris.
In third place on 81 points were Candida Amm, Lorraine Cook, Ursula Spoerri and a ghost.
The men’s alliance saw Paul Cole, Dave Neilson, Joe Carolan and Graham Volck take the honours on 91 points.

Tied for second place one point behind were Mo Dar, Stuart Janvier, Piet Joubert and John Lison, as well as Heiner Spoerri, Gary Smith, Paul Lawson and Jim Di Mambro.
