BANNERS REST

WELL done to the winners of the Golden Moon Spur and Peter Bennett 2-4-2 mixed pairs, namely Rod and Mary Phelps.

Placed second were Gino Alilovic and Jaye Russell. In third were Glen Allen and Amy Körner. 50/50 board went to Steve Rennie.

Next sponsored competitions are the GP Security mixed pairs this Friday (5th) and the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs this Sunday (7th).

HIBBERDENE

THE Bourman Group drawn trips was won by Fay Patterson, Martin Rautenbach and Estelle Quinn, from Roger Burwood, with Riaan and Desiré van den Berg.

Session prize to Bernard Carpenter, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Joey Venter.

Next is the Tiago’s mixed trips this Friday (5th). Club pairs have commenced and will be played throughout May.

MARGATE BC

SOCIAL bowls every Sunday morning at 9am, coaching available for new bowlers.

The Mugg & Bean competition was won by Alan and Ann Gibson. Runners-up were Derek McKechnie and James Mitchell.

COW Shed/Munster Bottle Store men’s pairs winners were Gawie Bosman and Ken Simmonds.

Krafty Chameleon mixed trips winners were Tommie Dry, Margaret Moakes and Lesley Lawson.

Runners up were Tienie and Leonie Prinsloo with John Kepler.

Second session to Albert and Eileen van der Lith with Phil Longden. Board to Rita Zietsman.

Everyone is invited to Martiens and Rita Zietsman’s farewell and casual bowls this Saturday, May 6 at 1.30 for 2pm, followed by bring and braai.

PORT EDWARD

BUILD it mixed pairs winners were Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren from John Keppler and Hazel Delaney.

Session went to Mac McKenzie and Val Smith. Board to Pat Brand.

Club women’s drawn pairs winners were Elbé Snyman and Francien van der Merwe.

Runners-up were Denise Ralfe and Sariena Ziervogel.

Club men’s drawn pairs winners were Barry Payn and Mac McKenzie, runners-up Dave Banks and Trevor Smith.

Sun Downer (with a twist) this Friday (5th) at 4pm.

PORT SHEPSTONE

IN the mid-week league Eddie Fann’s team continued its winning ways and remains at the top of its section.

Tony Johnson’s team came back from 16-6 down to peel at 16-16 but ran out of steam and lost 22-16 to Keith Tonge’s side from Margate BC.

The women won 26-10 against Delsia Mitchley’s side from AMBC.

Don Wiid has turned 65 and was given a walking stick to remind him he is now officially an OA.P.

Winners of the day were Alan Booth, Nikki Coetzer and Kevin Lancaster.

Congratulations to Elfrieda Goosen on receiving her coaching certificate.

SOUTHBROOM

GRAHAM Fisher, Brent Addison and Julia Morley won the Wolf Security open trips from Mike Lyall, Janet Larkins and Faan Behrens.

Sessions to Alfred Shusha, Nico Mantoan and Lorraine Wijtman, as well as Margie Purkiss, Trebla Lansdell and Monika Zunker.

50/50 to Viv Date.

The Ear Institute tabs-in day will be next Monday (8th) at 2pm.

SOUTHPORT

THE Harbour View SuperSpar women’s trips was won by Sharolyn Dacey, Charmaine Vermeulen and Winnie Hess.

Second place went to Marie Coetzer, Barbara Gradwell and Mada Lindeque with the second session prize going to Denise Nel, Sandy Shepherd and Ellen Gould.

The Dr D’Arcy mixed trips was won by Mike and Vell Mannion and Suzanne Delpech from Fanie Strydom, Daphne Hounsell and Jan Scholz.

In House Fruit and Veg 2-4-2 was won by Nellis Hattingh and Jan Scholz from Fanie Strydom and Ellen Gould. Session prize went to Ann Barkway and Richard Cochman.

THE BELL

ORCA winners were Hew Hodgson, Renzo van Niekerk and Daphne Hounsell, from Sandy and Stan Penny, with Phil Viljoen.

TWENI

TONY Johnson, Rastus Reen, Annette Suther and Marie Pick won the Wimpy/Club mixed fours from runners-up Sharolyn Dacey, Steve O’ Moore, with Peter and Ann-Marie Giblin.

Tony Korb, Dumisani Madlala, Trudy Rush and Karen Delaney took the session prize.

Next event is the Schooners Restaurant mixed trips on May 8.

Winter times for tabs in now 1.15 for 1.30pm.

White Elephant donations to the sales table for the Hibberdene Week which starts on Monday, June 5.

VILLAGE

WINNERS for Hopden’s Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2 were John Sutton and Betty Bolton followed by Dereck Schorn and Angie Butcher.

Sessions went to Alan Tyers and Denise Palframan and to Roy Robertson and Nora Hill. Peggy Dunlop won the the 50/50.

The RAC draw and bring and braai will be this Friday (5th).

The in house Food Lover’s Market drawn mixed trips this Saturday, May 6 at 1.15pm.
