Aqua swimmers in the zone in Sasolburg
There was individual and team success for the South Coast club.
LEVEL 2 and 3 Championships in Sasolburg saw Aquazone teammates Jeandré Joubert, Caleb Walton, Scarlet Scorer and Suné de Wit collectively bring home 16 medals.
Competing at Level 2, Jeandré finished top of the podium in the 200m backstroke and 100m freestyle events, following this up with silver in the 200m freestyle and bronze in the 200m individual medley, 100m backstroke and 200m breaststroke events.

Caleb secured his place in seven finals, picking up a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly event.
Competing at Level 3, Suné claimed gold in the 200m breaststroke, and went on to add silver in the 200m individual medley and 100m breaststroke events and bronze in the 400m freestyle event to her medal tally.
Scarlet Scorer progressed through to seven finals claiming a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly event.
Both girls were part of the club’s relay team which produced some exciting racing that had their teammates cheering enthusiastically from the stands.
Suné picked up silver in both the 4x50m individual medley and 4x100m freestyle relay, while Scarlet collected a silver in 4x50m freestyle and a bronze in the 4x50m individual medley relay.
After a much needed rest, swimmers are now back in the pool working towards building a successful 2017/2018 season.
