Run or walk for hospice coming up

It's a day for the whole family.

THE ‘Hope Commission’ fund-raiser for South Coast Hospice will take place in conjunction with Ugu Athletics Club’s Tendele Trail Run on Sunday, June 25.

This trail was officially opened in 2015 by the Minister of Human Settlements, Ravi Pillay.

Developed by Raj Naganna, it is well established although only the 12km run route has technical and challenging areas.

The event will start at the Illovo Sugar Mill Grounds, which will be signposted.

There will be: 3km walk/run (free); 5km walk/run/cycle (R10pp); 12km run/cycle (R20pp).

It will be a family day event, so wheelchairs and walkers are very welcome on the 3km and 5km routes.

Lucky draw prizes will be handed out. Registration will be from 6am to 6.45am with a 7am start.

There’ll be police, security with ample parking and signage. No traffic on the routes.

Seconding tables will be provided. Lazer 911 security will be present.

St Martin de Porres pupils will be taking part on the day. There will be a hamper raffle on the day to be drawn at the event, R10 a ticket.
