Giant strides for South Coast MTB riders
The two cyclists are well known on the South Coast.
THE owners of Giant South Coast, Wayne and Julie Tarr, are delighted to be able to support local riders by introducing the Giant brand ambassador programme on the South Coast.
Clive Berry, from Umtentweni, is the Giant ambassador and Megan Bircher, from Port Edward has been chosen to be the LIV ambassador.
LIV is the women’s range of bicycles manufactured by Giant.
Clive enjoys both mountain biking and road cycling and he can be seen riding on South Coast roads in the very early mornings during the week.
Megan is a pupil at Southcity Christian School and is a regular podium finisher at mountain bike races and generally a great all-round sportswoman.
Wayne feels that these riders are everything that the ambassador programme is looking for.
“They have a love for cycling and enjoy social riding as well as competing in races. The South Coast is the most awesome place to ride all year round, we have access to fantastic mountain bike trails and both easy and challenging road cycling routes, it is great to share our passion for cycling with locals and holidaymakers every day,” he said.
