Start building your soap box cart
The event promises to be fun for the whole family.
DON’T delay getting your cart ready for the Rotary Thompson Nissan Soap Box Festival of Speed which will take place at Dezzi Raceway in Oslo Beach on Sunday, July 2.
This year there will be two tracks used, including a new one which will allow for greater speeds.
As was the case last year, the focus will be on family fun.

Entry forms are available from Thompson Nissan Port Shepstone. Racing will start at 9am.
No helmet, no race. No plastic wheels (except for Mini Movers).
Scrutineering of carts will take place at Thompson Nissan Shelly Beach on June 24 and July 1 between 8am and 12pm.

Race categories: Mini Movers: 4 to 7 years old (10m), cost R25; Pre-Open: 8 to 15 years old (200m), cost R50; Novelty/Traditional Cart: Open (200m), cost R50; Open Race: 16 years+ (200m), cost R100; Trophy Challenge: Open (500m+), cost R100.
