Graham and Leon win betterball golf at Port Shepstone Country Club

The course is looking great.

GRAHAM Fabricius and Leon Bunge played steady golf to win Wednesday’s betterball Stableford competition at Port Shepstone CC on 49 points. Gerald Koch and Rob Calder were second on 48 points after counting out Boetie Thompson and Pete Stoppel.

The individual Stableford division of the popular Auto Exec monthly mug played last Saturday was won by John Beekman on a score of 38 points, after counting out Jenny Hulley. Third place went to Gertie Gerber on 35 points.

In the A division, Sheppie’s new matchplay champ, Jarrod van Wyk won with 69 nett, one shot clear of his father, Gavin who had to settle for second. Willem Lindeque was third on 71 nett.

There was a three-way tie on 71 nett in the B division.

After a countout, Ryan Ringo was first, followed by Pete Govender and Santhos Baskali.

On a score of 70 nett, Dr Rob Calder was the clear winner in the C division, three ahead of Albert dos Santos and Charles Hulley who each shot 73.

Graham Fabricius won best gross on 69 and the mug winner was Paul Geoffery on 64 nett.

This Saturday’s competition at Sheppie will be a combined Stableford.
