Children with disabilities enjoy fun day in Scottburgh

Several children were wheelchair beneficiaries as well.

Children with disabilities came together for a fun-filled day at Scottburgh Main Beach recently.

Their families joined them for a programme hosted by Umdoni Local Municipality.

The children enjoyed recreational activities in a welcoming environment, with inclusion, dignity and support for children with disabilities being promoted.

A highlight of the event was the handover of 10 wheelchairs to beneficiaries to improve accessibility, mobility and the quality of life.

Provincial Disability Chairperson, Sindi Cebisa, also attended. Her participation highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
