Local launch for new compact SUV

THE new Suzuki Ignis will be launched at the Suzuki South Coast dealership in Port Shepstone this Saturday, July 1 from 8am to noon.
There’s an open invitation to the public to attend the launch and get a close-up view of this interesting urban, compact SUV.

The Ignis will be on display and there’ll be snacks and refreshments for customers. You can also meet the friendly staff and ask any questions you want.
A key player in the growing small SUV market, the Ignis has been descirbed as ‘simple and iconic’ in terms of stylishness.
“The urban compact SUV has been so well received in South Africa that there is already a back-order list,” said dealer principal Chris Lepan.
Sales executive Elmi van Beek was also excited about the new vehicle.
“It’s jam-packed with creature comforts and boasts certain characteristics of other vehicles in the Suzuki stable,” she said.
Her colleague Phume Mthethwa agreed with her. “It’s a vehicle for everyone and really easy to drive,” she said.
The Ignis boasts an efficient but powerful 1.2-l engine, getting you from A-B and further in style, at pace, without denting your budget.
The light weight of the engine improves fuel efficiency through better combustion, lower engine friction and lower emissions.
It delivers 61kW of refined power of at 6000 r/min, and 113Nm at 4200 r/min.
The Ignis has many great features. There’s automatic climate control, something that’s crucial during a South Coast summer, and useful in winter.
It has keyless entry with push start. This can take a little while to get used to, and is a nice-to-have once you do.
SUV styling makes a strong impression at first sight, keeping the structural elements of design, such as lines, surfaces and curves simple.
