Social volleyball set to ‘spike’ soon
The emphasis in the social section is on fun.
THE long and eagerly awaited Social Volleyball KO Tournament takes place at Marburg Volleyball Complex this Saturday, July 1 starting at 1pm.
The excitement and enthusiasm is noticeable among volleyballers as the long and much awaited social volleyball season resumes this coming Saturday afternoon.

With the tournament being hosted by the Port Shepstone Volleyball Association, team registrations commence at 1pm and the first set of games will start at 2pm sharp.
The sections to be catered for will be as follows: Division 1 (competitive and non-competitive ) social; women’s section (if there are three teams or more) and an U16 school division if there are four teams or more.
The tournament is open to all members of the public with companies and business houses, and former retired players being targeted for the social non competitive.
Convener, Jason Govender is expecting this year’s social competition to rival the once prestigious premier section as many ageing former premier players are dropping towards the social competitive section.
To revive volleyball there are plans to start a Division 1 League which will be discussed on Saturday with all interested teams.
To make it a real fun day for volleyball enthusiasts, the PSVA is permitting teams to set up their evening braai facilities and socialise once the tournament is over.
