3 Reasons to wear green today

South Africa could be hosting the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

It’s Friday … and that means just one day until the weekend!

Today, South Africans are encouraged to wear green.

1. The country appears to be leading the race to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup. That’s some good news, although there has been some moaning from others that it’s not right to have it here due to our crime issues. The announcement will be made next Wednesdsay (November 15).

2. The Springboks play Ireland tomorrow. It’s an away game, and will be a very tough one. As the Irish also wear green – a lighter shade thereof – the Boks will most likely wear a white kit with some green. Doesn’t mean fans have to keep the traditional shirt in the cupboard, though.

3. Green is simply a cool colour. Literally. Psychologists say green is a relaxing colour and can help one de-stress or soothe.
