Colin has ‘Steyn’ power at Southbroom GC
The course is looking good after recent rains.
The Casa Toscana betterball Stableford at Southbroom Golf Club last week Saturday was won on 46 points by Rene Matthew and Bonnie Spice.
Second place went to Carol Lamb and Della Kempthorne on 45 points, counting out Augi D’Ewes and Di Morris.
The men’s section saw Colin Steyn and George Haswell clean up on 52 points, two ahead of Chris Miller and Mike Jacquet.
On 49 points were Arthur Lee and John Lison.
In regular Wednesday golf, the winners were Colin Steyn and George Haswell on 45 points, showing a hint of what was to come on Saturday.

They counted out Malcolm Greenland and Brian Hoggart, as well as Chris Miller and Olliver Ransome.
The women’s section was won by Janet Humphrey and Irene Schanda on 46 points, two clear of Shelley Myers and Janet Humphrey.
In third spot were Carol Lamb and Sharon Turnbull-Jackson.
