Herald Fishing: Summer fish have arrived
A lot of kob are being caught and some of them released.
With the north-east wind bringing in some favourable conditions (for the rock and surf fraternity) the much-anticipated summer fish have made themselves known along the KZN coast.
A few garrick, kob, bronze bream, stone bream, rock cod and stumpies have been landed.

Anglers have managed to land a few decent inedible fish such as hammerhead sharks, diamond skates and giant guitarfish at Stiebel Rocks in Pumula recently.
A lot of kob are being caught and some of them released.
Anglers fishing at Sandspit in Port Shepstone have been landing a lot of kob. These fish have been hooked on chokka bait, rapala and paddle tails.
Moving down the coast between Port Shepstone and Trafalgar there has been a lot of action with bronze bream, cave bass, kob and stone bream.
Anglers fishing at Splash Rock in Port Edward have landed a few hammerhead sharks and skates as well as garrick.
Shad season re-opens on Friday, December 1.
