Visitors raid at Sheppie’s Beekman Classic

The course was wet after all the rain, but the show went on.

There’s always a festive vibe at the Beekman Classic played at Port Shepstone Country Club and this year was no different.

It was sponsored by Curnow KZN.

Scores were pretty good, with Sbu Ntozakhe (Margate Country Club) and Emmanuel Mseleku (St Cathryn’s Golf Club) took the trophy on 50 points.

The duo, who are playing off 10 and 17 handicaps respectively, dovetailed to perfection to produce a winning score.

Runners-up were juniors Stuart McGregor and Conor Steffensen on 49 points. Stuart is a member at Scottburgh and currently off a 15, but that won’t last long.

Conor hails from Durban CC and is off a 20, but is also a golfer improving all the time.

They counted out Port Shepstone members Dr Ayoob Bux and Ganes Munsami.
