Facelift for Southbroom Tennis Club

There's a certain buzz now evident at the club.

Southbroom Tennis Club has undergone a renovation of late, with the result that the clubhouse has a fresh, new look.

Rolf Gudegast, Petrus (Rolf’s gardener/painter) and Frank Hall (resident coach ) have spent the past two weeks scrubbing, sanding, scraping and painting the interior and exterior of the clubhouse.

The clubhouse is looking very grand and is ready to welcome visitors during the forthcoming festive season.

Membership has increased and tennis is becoming a popular event to enjoy with a certain buzz evident.

There have also been some changes to the committee for the new season.

The committee is as follows: Luise Mohr (chairman), Pippa Bromley-Gans (secretary), Nicky Momberg (treasurer), Peddy Bam, Rolf Gudegast and Simon Lee.

‘Cardio Tennis’ takes place on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Club afternoons are on Wednesday and Saturday.
