Sahal’s five-for not enough to save Southerns
It was a disappointing loss, but no doubt the team will bounce back.
It was a case of being brought back down to Earth for the Southern KwaZulu-Natal cricket team against Tongaat away last Sunday.
The team is sponsored by Sunola Oil Mills and so far has been unbeaten this season in the Challenge League Stream Two 50-Over competition but crashed to a 28 run defeat against Tongaat.

Tongaat won the toss and batted first, making 113 all out in 38.2 overs.
Pace bowler Sahal Mansur was unplayable, with five for 11 in 9.2 overs.
Imtiaz Hatiya bagged two for 34 in 10 overs. Other wicket takers were Morné Bishop (one for 19 in six), Gershion Lawrence (one for 25 in five) and Sbu Ngqengelele (one for 20 in four).
Uzair Desai had figures of nought for eight in four overs.
In reply, Southerns just never settled, and may have been a touch impatient in trying to knock the runs off too quickly.
They were bowled out for 85 in only 16.3 overs. The batting scorecard makes for grim reading.
Here goes: Morné Bishop 4, Ali Iftikar 1, Sachin Kalkapersad 16, Gareth Bishop 8, Imtiaz Hatiya 17, Gershion Lawrence 0, Uzair Desai 6, Juned Mansur 5, Zeyn Moosa 0, Sbu Ngqengelele 8*, Sahal Mansur 2.
