Classy Curlewis hasn’t lost his touch on the fairways
Monthly medal has a habit of bringing out the best in some.
Ivan Curlewis rolled back the years (again) to win the monthly medal at Margate Country Club last week Saturday.
He returned a nett 70 off his five handicap to win comfortably. Sydney Shingange was second on nett 77.
Ivan has broken 80 in all but two of his rounds played this year. How consistent is that?
The B division was won on nett 65 by Johan Stoltz, followed by Mike Lee on nett 68.
C division winner was Derek Egerton on 38 points, five ahead of Flip Fourie.
Nearest the pins were Keith Duncalf (4th) and Robin Shuttleworth (11th).
The women’s medal was won by Connie McArthur on nett 69, with Agnes Spielmann next on nett 73.
