‘Game, set and … new clubhouse’ at Southbroom Tennis Club
The members have worked hard to make the changes.
Regular visitors to Southbroom Tennis Club will be in for a pleasant surprise this holiday. The reason is that the clubhouse has enjoyed a spruce up of note.
It has been repainted within and without, adding to the club’s already idyllic setting among the trees, opposite the golf course and next to Eyles Park.

The fee for visitors to use the courts remains at R30 a person, which is an important source of income and goes a long way to helping with the running of the club and maintenance.
As always, there is an honesty box where visitors can leave their contributions.
The courts are open at all times but everyone is welcome to join in on club days on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
The club has arranged a fun fund-raiser for all – a Partners’ Fun Day on Sunday, January 7 from 1.30pm.
It will consist of a series of games and competitions and will cost R50 per person.
Please encourage all friends and family members to join in.
Those who are not members are invited to join the club, which now has a reciprocity agreement with other South Coast clubs through the Southern Counties’ Tennis Association, so club members can play at other venues for a reduced fee.
A real plus for the club – and all those who would like to up their game – is the presence of a resident coach, Frank Hall.
He also holds cardio sessions on Mondays at 8am and on Tuesday afternoons at 4pm. It’s a fun way to shape up and shed the kilos.
