BANNERS REST

Peter Bennett and Joe Ashworth won the opening sponsored competition for 2018, the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs last Sunday.

Placed second were Dave Hume and Leigh Warner. 50/50 board went to Steve Rennie.

Saturday league resumes on January 13.

Next sponsored competition is the Golden Moon Spur mixed trips next Wednesday (17th).

HIBBERDENE

The Tiago mixed trips last Friday were won by Albert Munnik, Paul Grutter and Lorraine van Heerden.

Runners-up were Eddie Milne, Miriam Seager and Nossie Patterson.

Session prize to Roger Burwood, Werner Mody and Rentie Stevens.

Hibberdene Pharmacy nominated mixed trips this Friday (12th) at 2pm.

MARGATE BC

Ken Tonge and Gordon Ogilvie won the men’s Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach 2-4-2 last Friday.

Runners-up were Rob Miller and Barry Mollett, with session going to Alan Gibson and Trevor Heywood. 50/50 to Brian Douthwaite.

Food Lover’s Market trips this Friday (12th).

Social bowls is played every Sunday morning at 9am.

Duties: office – James Mitchell; tea – Annette Saunders and Georgie McKechnie.

MUNSTER

High Rock Pub and Grill competition winners were Chris Green and Lizette Greeff.

Runners-up were Piet Heunis and Rina Fourie.

Second session to Albert and Eileen van der Lith. Board to Chris Green.

Christmas lunch was a big sucess, with beautiful weather, fantastic food supplied by Sally Heaver and a festive time was had by all.

NOMADS

Next outing will be at The Bell this Sunday (14th) at 8.30am for 9am.

All members are welcome to join on the day. There will be a bring and braai after the game.

PORT EDWARD

Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren teamed up with Ken Simm to win the recent Coastals Co-op/Free State Farms open trips last Tuesday.

Runners-up were Joe Ashworth with Jimmy and Anne McAllister.

Second session prize went to Steve Rennie, Aubrey Hood and Linsey Humphrey.

Social bowls will be held this Saturday (13th) and next Wednesday (17th) January, tabs in at 1.30pm.

SOUTHBROOM

Winners of the Mariner’s open fours competition were Mike Prinsloo, Barry Herbert, Hans and Dina van der Walt.

Runners-up were Annette Payne, Trevor Heywood, Herman and Sharon Scheinberg.

First session went to Shane Nienaber, Barbara Brook, Kevin and Edith Button with the second session going to Ivan and Hazel Hosken, Ali Mitchell and Dawn Oehley.

50/50 board went to Faan Behrens.

THE BELL

Thanks to Captain’s Anchor for sponsorng last week’s competition which was won by Louw, Charmaine and Michelle Vermeulen with Peet van Rooyen.

VILLAGE

Happy new year to all. Both greens are open again and visitors are welcome.

Winners of the Food Lover’s Market drawn trips were Norman Isherwood, Dawn Oehley and Mike Ryan, followed by Alan Tyers, Irene Holland and Trevor Smith.

Lucky draw to Nelia Reed.

Next competition is Martin Electronics men’s 2-4-2 next Thursday (18th).
