Curlewis shoots his age at Margate CC
Most people can only dream of ever shooting their age.

Ivan Curlewis shot his age at Margate Country Club last week, but it wasn’t enough to win the competition.
That honour went to Ronnie Mtshaka and Sbu Ntozakhe who had 49 points.

Ivan had to settle for second place, despite shooting 68, with partner Joe Espach on 48 points.
Third spot went to John Webster and Angus McLachlan on 47 points.
Nearest the pins were Elvis Khawula (2nd and 11th).
The women’s competition was Sandi’s Surprise, and won by Margaret Taylor, Una McLachlan and Hilary Hendry.
Runners-up were Sandi Johnston, Rina Rito and Grace Fourie. Margaret Taylor won the individual competition.
Last Tuesday’s Connie Day betterball was won on 49 points by Lynn Meek and Elize Pretorius, ahead of Wondra Bothma and Hilary Hendry.
The Wobblers three-ball alliance was won by Derek Egerton, Eddie Gommersall and Johan Hulshof on 89 points.
Runners-up were Peter Hunter, Brian Jeffreys and Wimpie Jordaan on 83 points, counting out Otto Mutschler, Bob Weanie and Cyril Greensmith.
The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Nico van Vuuren, Frank Merrill and Hanz Dallinger on 75 points.
Last Thursday’s competition was won on 38 points by Abe Sidumo, with Sbu Ntozakhe and Pierre Malherbe next on 37 points.
Nearest the pins were Sandi Johnston (2nd) and Pierre Malherbe (11th).
