Sri Lanka tour beckons for run machine Chad
His cricket star is certainly on the rise.
Chad Laycock has the wonderful opportunity of going on a cricket tour to Sri Lanka at the end of the year. But he needs close on R43 000 to get there.
He’s a former Izotsha Primary pupil, where he piled on the runs as a batsman of note. He still lives in Umtentweni, but now attends Glenwood High School in Durban as a boarder.

Chad played for the U14A team last year and was the captain. It’s the same story again this year as he goes up an age group – he’ll captain the U15A team as well.
He regularly reaches centuries in his batting and ended the 2017 season with 158 runs against Clifton.
The success continued into the new year and in his first game against DHS last weekend, he scored 129 runs at a strike rate of 100 percent.
He’s been selected for a national team to tour Sri Lanka in December but unfortunately it involves cost of R42 470.
