From the Bowling Greens: League resumes this weekend

NOMADS

Winners of the day at Riverside Bowling Club were Kobus and Annette Payne, with Helen Proctor and Tom Doubell.

Runners-up were Graham Dunlop and Danny Terblance.

BANNERS REST

Kingfisher Bowling Association’s Saturday League resumes this Saturday (17th) with Banners Rest’s team playing away at The Bell.

Next sponsored competition will be the Golden Moon Spur mixed trips on February 21.

Banners will host visiting British bowlers on February 22 at 1.30pm.

HIBBERDENE

The Hibberdene Pharmacy mixed trips last week was won by Ollie and Marie Coetzer, with Tabie Jonker.

Second were Arthur and Miriam Seager, with Martin Rautenbach.

Next competition will be the Suzuki South Coast mixed trips this Friday (16th) at 2pm.

MARGATE BC

Food Lover’s Market comp last Thursday was won by Ian Hutton, Gae Gravel and Trixi Smith.

Runners-up were Ken Tonge, Gordon Ogilvie and Margaret Duffield.

Quiz night on February 21. Social bowls every Sunday at 9am.

PORT EDWARD

Free State Farms and The Cowshed competition was won by Mike Gower, Roger Humphrey and Derek Wicks.

Thursday’s two bowl trips, sponsored by SuperSpar and Golden Moon Spur, was won by Leigh Warner, Dave Hume and Leoni Booth.

Social bowls will continue this Saturday.

PSCC

The South Coast Herald fours was won by Rynier van Tonder, Dawie Schlebusch, with Tina and Geoff Barbour.

Runners-up and winners of the toucher prize were Brian and Jenny Rawlins, Lynden Wright and Eric Bense.

TWENI

The club mixed pairs was won by Dennis Graham and Nellie Davies from runners-up Jenny Isemonger and Tony Aveyard. The session prize went to Tony Davies and Carol Oakes.

The South Coast Herald men’s pairs was won by Brian Rawlins and Bruce Hoyer from runners-up Mike Mannion and Tony Davies. The session prize went to Tony Korb and Dumisani Madlala.

SOUTHPORT

Winners of the South Coast Herald mixed 2-4-2 were Peter Anderson and Nellie Davies.

Runners-up were Keith Mills and Astrid Jackson. Session prize went to Jane Massam and Rentie Stevens.

Umtentweni/Southport’s ‘Battle of the Sexes’ is this Sunday (18th) at 10am.

VILLAGE

Hibiscus Retirement Village men’s trips was won by Gordon Ogilvy, Gary Hess and Carl Volker.

Runners-up were Derek Schorn, Hans Hugo and Fred Askham.

Winners of the Hibiscus Insurance mixed trips were Denzel Massyn, Gary Hess and Dawn Oehley.

Runners-up were Doug Kent, Geoff Oliver and Angie Butcher.
