Champagne golf with Audi at Southbroom Golf Club
There's been a lot of golf on the go of late.
The Audi Centre Margate open day at Southbroom Golf Club last Friday was won on 101 points by Ross McKay, Brian Jolliffe, Kevin Murray and a ‘ghost’.
In second place were Rodney Lowe, James Fergus, Karl Beck and Jan Kleinhans on 96 points.
Third went to Dave Fox, Solange Fox, Rene Matthew and Dane Adendorff on 94 points.
Last Wednesday’s competition was won on 89 points by Heleen Hissey, Lorna Johnson, Augi D’Ewes and Di Morris.
Runners-up were Heather Anderson, Jenny Westray, Sandy Fitzgerald and Jean Corfe on 81 points.
In third place were Shelley Myers, Irene Schanda, Janet Humphrey and Margaret Stoellinger on 78 points.

In the men’s section, the winners of the progressive alliance were Gordon Moody, Kerri Fielden, Russell Johnson and Brian Hoggart on 90 points.
Runners-up were Chris Poole, who drifted south for some humidity, Malcolm Greenland, Ross McKay and Colin Mckay on 88 points.
Third spot went to Roger Phillips, Art Germs, Malcolm Moorley and Bobby Jones on 87 points.
Last Saturday saw the women’s ‘Champagne Day’ take place, with a tight tussle for first place.
After the countout had been done, the winners were Jenny Westray and Heather Anderson on 42 points, counting out Lorraine Cook and Candida Amm, as well as Ursula Spoerri and Mariaan Padrutt.
In the men’s competition, the winners were Gordon Moody and Kerry Fielden on 51 points.
Runners-up were Glen Usher and Bobby Jones on 48 points.
Tied for third on 47 points were Pierre van der Walle and Bob O’Callaghan, as well as Malcolm Greenland and Ossie Osborne.
