Riaan van der Wath clocks best time for Striders in Hillcrest

The marathons are starting to mean more as Comrades approaches.

A number of South Coast Striders took part in the recent Hillcrest Marathon.

Some ran the 21.1km race, but most opted for the 42.2km event, in order to put in miles for Comrades.

21,1km:

Lenard du Toit 1:38; Christopher Mortimer 1:50; Raymond Gaze 2:22; Lindelani Itabor 2:30; Wilma van der Walt 2:33; David Morrison-Young 2:37; Alecia Hilt 2:51.

42,2km

Riaan van der Wath 3:50; Graeme Milligan 3:54; George Cele 3:57; Isak Ludick 3:59; Lennox Mtengwane 4:18; Gary Lennon 4:34; Sue-ann Perry 4:48; Freek Stander 4:48; Fikile Mkutyukelwa 5:07; Stephen Lattin 5:17; Mark Smith 5:17; Roelandie du Toit 5:17; Lou Schoeman 5:17; Nicola Dunford 5:20; Louise Hughes injured on 37km.
