8 Things you may not have known about Liverpool FC striker Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian has become a huge fan favourite and it's no surprise with the number of goals he has scored for Liverpool since his move there last year.
Mohamed Salah will be key to Liverpool’s chances of winning their first leg of the Champions League semi-final against AS Roma tonight.
The match kicks off at Anfield at 8.45pm.
The striker has been in prolific goal-scoring form and Reds fans will hope this continues.

Here are some facts you may not have known about him.
1. His full name is Mohamed Salah Ghaly.
2. He was born in Nagrig, Gharbia in Egypt on June 15 in 1992.
3. He stands at 1m 75 (5 ft 9) and so is 5cm taller than Lionel Messi but 12cm shorter than Cristiano Ronaldo.
4. Salah has previously played for Basel in Switzerland, AS Roma in Italy and Chelsea in England.
5. He is Liverpool’s first Egyptian player, having been signed for a record 42m Euros.
6. The Italian media nicknamed him the ‘Egyptian Messi’ when he played for Roma. He has also been nicknamed ‘Pharaoh’ by the press and fans. His more recent nickname is ‘Egyptian King’ arising from a chant set to the tune of ‘Sit Down’ by English band James.
7. Salah married Maggi in 2013. They have a daughter named Makka who was born in 2014 and was named after the holiest city in Islam.
8. Salah is Muslim and often celebrates goals by performing the sujood.
