THE women’s competition at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday was won by Allyson Thomas and Janet Humphrey on 48 points.
Runners-up were Mari Fielden and Di Morris on 44 points.
The men’s competition was won on 47 points by John and Jeremy Fox, edging out John Neaves and Don Osbourn on 46 points.

Last Friday’s Audi Centre Margate business day saw Brian Jolliffe, Tony Westoby, Johan Wentzel and Jaco Das return 94 points to win by one from Kevin Murray, Eugene Orsmand, Chris and Jo Ledden, as well as Bob Carmichael, Chris Miller, Errol Amm and Nick van Deventer … and Gary and Lesley Godley, Emil and Hannah Hierhold.
The Casa Toscana betterball was won by Mari Fielden and Jean Corfe on 45 points, from Rene Matthew and Trish Amm who had 44 points.
In the men’s section the winners were Terry Sheppard and Tony Holness on 49 points.
Runners-up were Craig Treherne and Chris Miller on 48 points.
The handicap league side lost to Umdoni Park 6,5-5,5 away last Sunday, despite wins from Kevin Murray and Derick Zolyomi at the top of the order.
