Ironman Hennie Kanfer shows serious mettle

The South Coast has some resilient athletes.

HENNIE Kanfer proved that South Coast Striders are multi-talented by completing the Ironman at Nelson Mandela Bay in 14:50.

Hennie kicked off at 7am with a 3,8km swim followed by a 180km cycle and then topped it off with a full marathon 42km.

It is a gruelling day but judging by Hennie’s smile at the finish it seems it was a walk in the park for him.
