Double header for Ugu AC runners
The top runners have found success running as a team.
FIFTY runners from Ugu Athletics Club took part in both the recent Hibiscus Challenge and Gaterite marathons, held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure and Verulam Recreation Grounds respectively.
Thirty five runners ran in the Hibiscus Challenge’s ultra marathon while 15 ran in the Gaterite marathon.

These marathons are the last qualifiers for the Comrades Marathon which takes place on June 10 this year.
All the UAC runners have already qualified for the Comrades Marathon.
The courses of these marathons are tough and are chosen by most runners because they adequately prepare them for Comrades.
All the UAC runners who started these marathons were able to finish.
