Hot laps at Dezzi

One last wildcard entry might be that of current champion Richard Upton.

Things are due to rev up at Dezzi Raceway this Saturday (19th) when the fourth round of the KZN Road Racing Championship gets under way – with the added bonus of a round of the national championship Inex Legends series joining in.

For KZN racers – cars and motorycles – the chase for championship points is becoming serious with the opening rounds seeing veryclosely battles throughout the various categories, meaning nobody is actually doing a runner on the points table.

After a lengthy hiatus, the Inex Legends return to action and Richard van Heerde and Ian Upton are on home soil and that is all the incentive they will need to turn the screws on the visitors from up country.

Jason Loosemore and Justin Robertson head that contingent and they will be ably assisted by Chris Hoy, Johan van der Venter and former champion Devin Robertson.

Steven Levin is another name who will add firepower to their ranks.

The two youngsters in the field, Dane van Heerde and Jagger Robertson will relish their first outing at this popular venue and should not be at all overawed, following as they are on their respective fathers’ footsteps.

One last wildcard entry might be that of current champion Richard Upton.
