Southbroom golfers remember Pam Quarmby

The Chicken Run was cancelled due to a big group booking.

The Pam Quarmby memorial alliance at Southbroom Golf Club last week Saturday saw the women off the forward tees, with all four scores on par threes.

Winners were Irene Schanda, Shelley Myers, Jan Germs and Karin Asbock on 109 points.

Runners-up were Candida Amm, Mari Fielden, Margi Sherratt and Lorraine Cook on 93 points, counting out Rene Matthew, Sandy FitzGerald, Shirley Jeffery and Michelle Davies.

In the men’s usual Saturday competition, the winners were Nic van Deventer, Mike Lig, Chris Miller and Olliver Ransome on 94 points.

In second spot on 91 points were Stuart Janvier, John Lison, Arthur Lee and Malcolm Moorley.

Third place went to Arrol Patterson, Brian Blackstock, Graham and Peter Volck, on 89 points.

Earlier in the week, Ann’s Scramble was won on 52.66 nett by Janet Humphrey, Irene Schanda and Jan Germs.

Next on 53.4 nett were Jean Corfe, Di Morris and Lynn Blackstock.

The men’s Wednesday competition saw Terry Sheppard and Heinz Seiser win on 50 points.

Tied for second on 47 points were Paul Cole and Errol Amm, as well as Bob Clark and Olliver Ransome.
