No game for rugby Warriors as Mets fail to pitch
The players unexpectedly had the day off.
THOSE expecting a try-fest were left a little disappointed when Durban Mets cancelled their fixture against Riversmead Warriors at Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground last Saturday.
The Mets have struggled this season and the Warriors were looking to accumulate as many points as possible to catch Hillcrest on points difference.
Unfortunately Mets could only come up with nine players and so the match was called off.

It looks likely that Mets will withdraw from the Fidelity Security First Division South Section league.
So the points difference opportunity may not matter after all, as all their games may be taken off the log.
The Warriors have an away game this weekend. They play against Zululand Rhinos at Empangeni.
The following weekend it’s away to Westville Old Boys, and then back home again against old foes Hillcrest at Douglas Mitchell on June 23.
Crowd support would be great on that day. It’s sure to be a cracker.
