Full house and new faces at Tweni Tennis Club

Thee were many hard-contested sets among the men.

Wow! Six courts going and players waiting last Saturday at Umtentweni! How great is that! Keep a-coming everyone – it’s wonderful to see all the courts in action.

Chris Polinski brought chocolate cake, sausage rolls and savoury breads which went down very well. It was really fantastic to see Tisch Roos and Keagan van der Merwe back on our courts and there were many hard-contested sets among the men. Des and Ann Wise from Plettenberg Bay were welcome visitors and members hope they will visit more often.

It is fabulous to welcome two new members to the club – Neil Perry and Kylan Guest. We wish you many happy days of tennis in the years to come.

Poor Isabeau le Roux burnt her hands badly and, despite a valiant effort, just could not play last week. Members wish her a speedy recovery.

Lynne Rorich is almost ready to grace the courts again and we look forward to seeing her back in action soon.

Chloe Dutton spent a couple of hours tidying up the fridge room – thanks for a job well done, Chloe. Raj Naganna continues to clear the bush and plant indigenous trees round the grounds and welcomes calls from anyone who has suitable trees for planting.

There will be a round robin on Saturday, August 18, followed by a bring-and-braai so please put your names on the lists on the notice board.

Duties: Saturday, August 11th – Isabeau le Roux; August 18th – Raj Naganna.
