Tweni Tennis Club to host round robin this Saturday
The draw takes place at 1.45pm and play will start at 2pm.
There will be a round robin tournament at Tweni this Saturday, August 18. Entrance fee is R20. The draw takes place at 1.45pm and play will start at 2pm. Please put your names on the lists on the noticeboard and indicate what you’d like to provide for the bring-and-braai afterwards.

For the second consecutive Saturday, it has been full house at Tweni. It is wonderful to see all the courts in action.
It was great to see Janine de Meyer and Matt Holmes gracing the courts again. Other visitors, Ann Wise, Adrian Daniel, Tisch Roos, Sorin Dimitriu and Mark Smith made for lots of different shots coming to light! Members hope to see them all again soon. Unfortunately, Des Wise hurt his shoulder so reverted to bowls instead! Members wish him a speedy recovery as well as safe travelling for him and Ann as they return home.
Luckily Isabeau le Roux’s hand has healed well and she was able to spoil members with delicious chocolate cake and carrot cake, lemon meringue pie, sarmies and sausage rolls which were quickly devoured!
It was also super to have Betsy Taylor, Mark Hooper and Carol Nash as visitors last Wednesday and it is hoped they will join in more often.
Tweni is very proud of Raj Naganna’s exploits in the KZN seniors’ tournament held at Westridge Park last week. He and his partner won the mixed doubles and he was runner-up in both the singles and men’s doubles. Thank you for keeping Tweni’s flag flying high all round the country, Raj – keep it up!
