Spring in Tweni tennis’s step
The new season has seen a lot of people take an interest in the club and the sport.

There was a spate of visitors at Umtentweni Tennis Club last week.
On Tuesday, Jarrod van Wyk and Michael Nadauld enjoyed a set or two and on Wednesday, Annette de Lange and Carol Nash joined members for an afternoon of social tennis.

Saturday produced a full house with visitors, Brighton Dara, James Karlsen, James Gearing and Byron Wigmore swelling the numbers.
It was really great to have Brighton back on our courts and members look forward to seeing all these folk again soon.
Trudy Rush and Betsie Tayler came along on Wednesday afternoon to socialise with members and members hope to see Betsie back on the court again soon.
Chris Connellan brought along delicious home-made chocolate crunchies, jam squares, cheese puffs and sandwiches and did a sterling job arranging the sets.
Members wish Raj Naganna a safe trip to Croatia and the best of luck as he takes off on the 12th as a member of the SA Veterans’ team in the World Veterans’ Tournament.
Any contributions of the financial kind would be most welcome to see him off.
Monday evening men’s tennis is going strong again and thanks go to Liesl Smith for once again taking on the responsibility of organising this popular tennis event.
