Tennis … a game of love and fun

There were no winners just the fun aspect of tennis.

ABOUT 70 players, both young and old, took to the Umtentweni Tennis Club last Thursday when Julia Christiansen, a qualified professional tennis coach, who runs ‘Pro-Tennis,’ hosted the Pro Tennis parent and child doubles.

Parents played both with and against their children. It was Human Rights Day and Julia said the event was a fun day for parents and their children.

There were no winners, it was just for the fun of the game.

“We believe in finding the potential in each player and teaching them to love the game of tennis. We need to continue to encourage, develop, support and keep a strong presence of young players who should be seen as the future and continuing success of this wonderful game,” she said.

Julia thanked the parents and their children for taking part in the event.

She also thanked Umtentweni Tennis Club, the sponsors and all officials who assisted in making the event a success.
