Kim finished round one with birdies on the 17th and 18th – there can’t be too many golfers who have done that at Sheppie.

But she considered playing on the final day with KwaZulu-Natal Ladies Golf president Jane Lind as more of a highlight.

Silver division winner was Sandi Burger on 180, by one from Simoné Ferreira who had 181.

Jenny Hulley won the bronze division on 196, by three from Cecelia Verster.

Copper division honours went to Liana Klopper on 220 for the two rounds.

In a day where many golfers avoid strokeplay golf, the women’s resilience has to be admired.

Best overall nett was Sandi Burger on 154, followed by Cecelia Verster on 155.

Saturday nett winner was Jane Lind on 76, while Debi Stewart won the next day on the same score.

In men’s golf George Bowie and Mark Smith won last Wednesday’s competition on +11, by three from Ken Morris and Daan Swanepoel.

In third place were Fanie Kuhn and Paul Geoffery on +6.

Hans Stols and Gary Vogt won last Saturday’s competition on 45 points, one ahead of Gerald Koch and Mot Moleele.

Third spot went to Charles Hulley and Eddie Fann on 43 points.

It’s the monthly mug and Mug of Mugs this Saturday (6th).
