UMKOMAAS BOWLING CLUB
AUGUST was a busy month, with various activities and competitions, including the Scottburgh Tournament.
The monthly mixed trips was played last Thursday, with the familiar team of Kevin and Sandy O’Donaghue and David Wood the worthy winners.

Runners-up were Fanie Vosloo, Ron and Gay Jutte and the session prize was awarded to Maurice Holder, Dot Morey and Avril Smith.
Sponsors were Halfway Malanda, Enzos and Umkomaas Spar.
The men’s 2-4-2 was held the previous Thursday and the winners were Ken Smith and Maurice Holder from Umkomaas.
Runners-up were Brian Navias and Keith Findlay from AMBC, with another AMBC team, Tony Hoggins and Dave Arnison were session prize winners.
The sponsors for this competition were Umdoni Park Restaurant, Country Pharmacy and Umkomaas Spar.
Last Tuesday it was time for the ladies 2-4-2 and the winners were Steff Podmore and Gay Jutte from Umkomaas.
Runners-up were Julie Sutherland and Amanda Ninow from Amanzimtoti and session prize winners were Sue Matthias and Helen Pieters from Umkomaas.
Sponsors were Atlanta Spur, Umkomaas Spar and Umdoni Park Restaurant.
