Bowlers prove to be on par
Sezela members are urged to enter teams in the Kokstad men’s tournament to be held on September 21 and 22.
SEZELA BOWLING CLUB
ONLY 10 men’s and six women’s teams entered this month’s trips competition. This was mainly due to the cold spell and the Blue Coats tournament held at Scottburgh which received enormous local club support.
However, all enjoyed the bowls and the usual after match festivities.

Thank you to Scottfin Insurance Brokers, Atlanta Spur and Enzo’s Restaurant for sponsoring the prizes.
Even though there was a small entry in the women’s section, the usual prizes were presented.

Runners-up were Jean Shannon, Cassie van Aswegen and Claire were pleasantly surprised to win the Food Lover’s Market prize finishing on 2+6.
Enzo’s vouchers went to Jenny Wadeley, Linda Stead and Michelle Davey, the only team to win both sessions to score 4+16.
Jerry Davey and Malcolm Swanby played in last week’s Blue Coats tournament at Scottburgh Bowling Club whose members did an exceptional job in hosting this massive event.
Mally was privileged to play with the jovial Len Brickhill, Keith Finlay and Brian Navias from AMBC after Henry Hampson withdrew when he experienced some discomfort from a minor facial wound.
We wish Henry a speedy return to the bowling green.
Jerry has received a favourable response from Sezela members to enter teams in the Kokstad men’s tournament to be held on September 21 and 22.
Members interested in playing should liaise with Jerry who is has all the details for this event.
