Surfer Heather Clark heads to California

She has won the SA Open Women's title a record eight times.

South Coast legendary surfer Heather Clark has been appointed as one of three coaches for the SA Junior Team that will compete in the ISA World Junior Championships in Huntington Beach, California from October 26 to November 5.

This is her first appointment as a coach of a national team. She has been the coach of several Ugu Surfriders teams in the past and of course, has years of experience as a top competitor.

She has won the SA Open Women’s title a record eight times and recently won her second consecutive SA Over 30 Women’s title at the Mercedes-Benz Buffalo City SA championships at Nahoon Reef inEast London.

“I am super stoked! It’s an honour to go represent South Africa – this time as a coach,” said Heather.
