KINGFISHER
The Kingfisher Bowling Association novice singles was played during the recent long weekend, with the finals being hosted by Hibberdene Bowling Club.
The quality of bowls from those relatively new to the game was exceptional with the eventual winners being Tim Woolley from Riverside Sports Club taking the men’s title and Rentia Williamson from The Bell taking the women’s title.

TWENI
The Harbourview Superspar mixed pairs competition was won by Dumisani Madlala and Karen Delaney.
Runners-up were Astrid Jackson and Tony Aveyard.
Session went to Albert van Niekerk and Rita Pate.

Tim Woolley from Riverside Sports Club took the KBA men’s novices singles title.

RIVERSIDE
The Uvongo Spar Open 2-4-2 Challenge held last Thursday was won by Kobie Stander and Dora Vosloo.
Runners-up were Ferro van Greunen and Meisie Kuhn.

SOUTHBROOM
Round Two of the 2021 Southbroom JL Panelbeaters’ Men’s Fours League was won by Tony Waters, Cleve Walker, Glenn Hatfield and Paul Michau.
Runners-up were Ralph Burls, Bill Eccles, Carl Volker and Mannie Rodrigues.
Current league leaders Vernon Clements, Hein Bester, Graham Fisher and Brent Addison were third.

HIBBERDENE
The Just Chill Drawn Mixed Trips competition held last Friday was won by Albert Munnik, Cheryl Knight and Jimmy Hay.
In second place were Alida Munnik, Sydney Bradbury and Andre Maree.
Session prize to Bez Bezuidenhout, Martin Rautenbach and Estelle Quinn.

Rentia Williamson from The Bell won the KBA women’s novices singles title.

MARGATE
Food Lover’s Market Open Pairs was won by Richard Griffiths and Peter Griffiths, from Franci Philpott and Hugo Pio.
Session went to Lenie Geyer and Voulene Prinsloo.
Coming up: Friday, April 2 – Easter Friday, club closed; Saturday, April 3 – Club trips competition; Monday, April 5 – Easter Bonnet Trip Competition – R40pp, including tea and cake, 2pm.
Social bowls every Sunday at 9am, dress casual.
